Our History
Q-Metrx was incorporated in 1999 and has since been serving the community of qEEG with the best consulting services available.
Beginning with only 3 employees the company now retains a staff of more than 10 employees, 8 neurofeedback expert consultants,
and 3 board certified neurologists.
Our company has enjoyed great success, and we will continue to grow into the future thanks to our dedication to service.
About Us
Managing Staff
Jack Johnstone, Ph.D.
is the President and CEO of Q-Metrx, Inc., responsible for all operations and development at Q-Metrx and the Valley Sleep
Center. He is also an Associate Researcher in the department of Psychology at UCLA, as well as a consultant to Aspect Medical
Systems, Inc. (see www.britemd.com).

Technical Staff
Sarineh Khodjasaryan, is the Clinical Reports Coordinator. Sarineh is a graduate
of the University of California, Irvine, with a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior, Minor in Education. She assists
with qEEG report preparation and customer service for qEEG reporting.
Administrative Staff
Sophia Quintana is the office manager at Q-Metrx, assisted by Gisela Mena. Sophia performs billing and scheduling services and general office management.
Laura Raushel is the bookkeeper and administrative assistant for Q-Metrx.
EEG Technologists
Christine Turner is an EEG specialist trained at the Maudsley Clinic in London
and Columbia University. She provides recording services at the lab in Burbank. Kelly
Cook is our newest EEG technician on staff.
Valley Sleep Center
The manager of the Valley Sleep Center is Richard Harter, RPSGT. Richard has
been working in the field of sleep medicine for nearly 15 years. He began his clinical training at Stanford University in
1990 and went on to pursue sleep research. In 1994 he was asked to join the faculty of the School of Sleep Medicine in Palo
Alto, CA. Richard has been involved in numerous sleep research studies and has lectured both in the United States and Europe
on various aspects of sleep medicine. Asa Albecz, RPSGT performs to
overnight sleep studies at the center. Asa has been involved in sleep medicine for 7 years and combines a high degree of
technical skill with a focus on patient comfort. Asa also works directly with patients using CPAP therapy to insure good
compliance and obtain the best clinical response.
Expert Neurological Consultants
Jason R. Soss, M.D. is a staff neurologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology
at UCLA School of Medicine. He is trained as an epileptologist specializing in dense array monitoring and intracranial recording,
and is engaged in a variety of EEG research studies. Ronald E. Saul, M.D.
is a highly experienced electroencephalographer, previously director of the EEG Laboratory at Los Angeles County Medical
Center. He is a co-author of Neuropsychology for Health Care Professionals and Attorneys (3rd Ed). Dr. Saul is currently
a Clinical Professor of Neurology at the UCLA School of Medicine and is on staff at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration
Medical Center and UCLA. Roger V. Bertoldi, M.D. is a neurologist in
private practice in Los Angeles, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at UCLA. He has extensive experience in
medical-legal applications of EEG and qEEG. Dr. Bertoldi specializes in evaluation and treatment of head trauma.
